Christmas Highlights

Madison is at such a great age for the family Christmas party!

The boy and his sweet wife.  Our extended family of brother, sister and families were all there for food, presents, holding the newest baby and celebrating that Grandpapa is better.

My all-time favorite of Maddie.  Don't let the sweet girl look fool you. She is tough with those boy cousins.

So glad that Grandpapa was feeling a little better.  He has 3 great-grandchildren now.

Cousins. They are both a little "interesting".

G&G with the newest family member, Micah.  Nothing like a new baby to hold at Christmas!

Gpapa led the music.  We always sing carols by the piano.  My mom, sister, sister-in-law and niece and I also sing "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" in perfect harmony....well, close.  Always a sweet moment for me.

Landon gave Micah a chocolate kiss on the forehead. Ha (looks a little guilty to me)!

Community Christmas Celebration or, C3, as we affectionately call it. My boss created the program and our staff worked on it for 4 months.  We had a total attendance of around 2000. We pray that lives were changed and hearts touched through the many facets of the program.

115 in the choir during the weekend.  This event always really begins Christmas for me! The first night I was a little stressed hoping everyone would show up in the right places and at the right times. The second night was wonderful. I relaxed and enjoyed the evening. The children's choir,  20 banner carriers, a drama troupe, soloists, 2 dancers, a drum line, Mary, Joseph, and Baby Jesus all came through perfectly.  It was so much FUN!

We had an awesome Mary, Joseph and Baby Jesus.  This was a sweet moment.

This sweet girl did a perfect narration of Luke 2...everyone's favorite part of the program.  Just like Linus on "Charlie Brown Christmas" except better!

The holidays are "No Time to Diet!" Look at the size of that fork, spoon, and bowl!

One of our local high schools helped us with the Angels song...beautiful! Notice the backdrop of the stable. I ordered it 50 feet wide instead of 25 feet...a big oops! My boss, after he got over the shock, used his imagination and we folded it in half and hung it over scaffolding.  The city of Bethlehem is in the background.

"Angels are Making Their Rounds"  Fear not, Zechariah, Joseph and Mary!

Beautiful dancer to "Be Born in Me"

They look like the real thing to me!
