February Night

Sitting at home tonight with a husband who's had shoulder replacement surgery this week.  Whenever I tell anyone that he had that, they say "ewww" and ouch, etc.  Yes, very painful. But the big picture is that he will have full range of motion and no pain after all is healed.  So on this cold, rainy night in Georgia, we are watching "Duck Dynasty" and trying to be patient. This is going to be a long process. (Did I mention that I don't have a strong compassionate/merciful temperament?)

Our family has had good news since 2013 began. My dad's lymphoma is gone, his arm break seems to be healing...we hope no surgery for that.  We are planning another one of those extended family Siesta Key vacations this summer! Hooray!! I wondered if we would be able to do it.  Gpapa has to be sitting on the grass in the shade on the beach wall holding Micah!  We've had a baby for him to hold the last two times we have gone.  It's a tradition.

I'm very busy at work, as usual.  I do love my job but the major productions seem to come one after the other. Add in all the other stuff like children's musicals, premieres,  regular office work, unexpected things like funerals in the choir family, and it's just busy...that's the nature of the job.  AND the amazing news that my boss and his wife are expecting their third child in July tops it all off.  We are so happy for them.  When this baby boy comes they will have a 20 year old daughter, 16 year old daughter and then "lil Joe".  :)

As gmommy, I am loving our new little Micah and learning his personality.  I feel that I am not really a "Micah expert" yet as the other two monopolize my attention and Micah is in a phase of just wanting Mommy.  That will change, I know, so I'm not worried.  He wins the cute award among the kids in his very new infant looks.  Now for some favorite pics:
